Welcome to SimuMed Solutions
Empowering medical companies to advance research and development through realistic cardiac catheterization simulation models that drive innovation and enhance procedural safety before animal and clinical trials.
Nearly 50% of U.S. adults suffer from cardiovascular disease, with many requiring advanced right heart catheterization procedures as part of their diagnosis and treatment. These procedures often start with antecubital venous access (via the arm), a preferred approach due to its lower risk of complications. During this process, the catheter is inserted through the puncture site and guided along the vein to the heart. However, femoral venous access (via the groin) remains crucial for cases that demand larger catheters or specialized equipment. Despite its necessity, femoral access poses higher risks, such as bleeding and vascular injury, due to its deeper entry point and the challenges posed by poor catheter designs.

Excessive catheter insertion force causes injury

Bleeding risks increase with deep access

Patient safety is compromised
Addressing these risks requires the development of advanced catheter designs and that starts with better testing. Our simulation models give engineers and clinicians the tools to refine catheter development and procedural training, ultimately reducing risk and improving patient outcomes.
Why SimuMed Solutions Models?
Explore our top features that make us unique among current solutions.
affordability
Our models are built using accessible, DIY-friendly materials, making them 25 times more affordable to produce than the sale price of even the cheapest commercial alternatives.

accuracy
Our models are engineered to replicate the physical properties of human tissue and are fully compatible with mechanical testing equipment (such as Instron), providing consistent tool to measure puncture forces and insertion dynamics in catheter R&D.

innovation
While most commercial alternatives target clinical education, our models are optimized for catheter R&D. They offer a scalable alternative to animal testing, reducing ethical concerns in early-stage device evaluation.
